Tales from the Hallowed Dominion

A half-orc field hand is sold to pay a debt that was never hers. The Iron Synod doesn't want her labour — it wants to hollow her out until nothing "Ragash" is left but a weapon bristling with raw magic that answers only to their call. They didn't count on what survives the forging.

Chapters 1-3 contain some sexual violence (off screen) and suicide resulting from it; following on from that there are a number of chapters in which the main character is subject to coercion.

B. Pichotka is a talented fantasy writer with a remarkable imagination and a gift for world-building. His richly detailed fictional world reflects both his creativity and his dedication to storytelling. His descriptive writing style brings depth and atmosphere to his work, inviting readers to immerse themselves in the world he has created. What I find particularly fascinating is how he draws inspiration from his own life experiences, adding a personal dimension to his fiction. I admire his creativity and wholeheartedly recommend his work to anyone who enjoys imaginative fantasy.
Tales from the Hallowed Dominion pulled me in because the world feels lived in rather than simply explained. There’s history, faith, violence, identity, and moral conflict woven through the story in a way that makes everything feel much larger than any single chapter.
Ragash is the heart of it for me. She feels strong without ever becoming invulnerable, and the story never lets you forget the cost of survival. I also love the way the lore unfolds through memories, documents, different perspectives, and small details rather than being handed to the reader all at once.
If you enjoy dark fantasy with deep worldbuilding, complicated morality, and characters who carry real emotional weight, this is absolutely worth following.
